Splits + Spuds: Yoga + Food at MVP – MVP Dublin

Splits + Spuds: Yoga + Food at MVP

Tickets Available HERE | March 10th | 4:30pm

Thought about trying yoga before but need a little bit more convincing…? How about trying it in the comfortable surroundings of your favourite pub? For only 20euro? With a free lunch afterwards…? While raising funds for a worthwhile cause…?! Are you convinced yet?!!

Then join us in MVP for an afternoon of restoration, relaxation and…potatoes! Enjoy an hour long yoga class, suitable for all levels (including complete beginners) taught by Naomi, giving yourself a total mind-body workout. When you’ve finished namaste-ing to your hearts content, you can then wander down to the main bar to collect a SPUDBOX, the classic Irish baked potato with your choice of filling including Chili con Carne, Jerk Chicken and Veggie.

And best of all, all profits will go to CHEEERS:Developing Healthcare Together, a non-profit Irish professional multidisciplinary sending organisation. CHEEERS works together with developing communities to improve healthcare services and to promote education and training of healthcare professionals. In April 2018 a group of 12 volunteers, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, dieticians and pharmacists will travel to Kisiizi Hospital in Uganda. Each volunteer is covering the cost of their own flights/accommodation etc, and so all proceeds will go directly towards the charity’s projects. For more information please visit our website http://cheeersvolunteers.wixsite.com/cheeers or find us on Facebook!

  • Wear loose comfortable clothing, so that your hamstrings are the only things that stop you from touching the ground!
  • If you’ve got a yoga mat, please bring it with you! (A small number of spare mats will be available on the day but first come, first served)
  • If you’ve got a medical condition that could prevent you from engaging in physical activity safely, or are pregnant, then it’s best to sit this one out. It’s not to say yoga is not for you, but you would be safer engaging with a suitably qualified instructor on a 1:1 basis who can cater specifically to your needs. Feel free to contact me on nomielyng@gmail.com if you’ve any questions or concerns.
  • Bring a smile and an empty stomach!
